Census of 1851
This section gives remnants of the 1851 Census for Limerick and Dublin. These few entries, from Dublin and Limerick, are all that was salvaged from the fire in the Four Courts in 1922.

Dundons are recorded in counties Clare (16/51), Cork (14/42), Donegal (1/1), Down (1/1), Dublin (11/38), Kerry (4/9), Kilkenny (2/2), Laois (2/3), Limerick (60/192), Louth (1/1), Meath (1/2), Sligo (1/6), Tipperary (5/14) and Wexford (3/7). (Households/Residents)
Census of 1911
Dundons are recorded in counties Carlow (1/2), Clare (14/44), Cork (13/35), Down (1/5), Dublin (12/36), Kerry, (3/11), Kildare (1/1), Kilkenny (3/1), Limerick (52/176), Sligo (4/1), Tipperary (5/14), Wexford (1/4) and Wicklow (2/3). (Households/Residents).
Both of these censuses contain the names of the residents, their relation to the head of the family, level of education (ability to read and/or write), age, occupation, marital status and place of birth. Religion is another heading but not given here as all were Catholics. Information relative to dwelling houses and outhouses is also given.
The 1911 Census also gives an entry under language spoken, the number of years a couple are married and the number of children born and the number living.
