SNAPSHOTS
Snapshots are records of events in the lives of Dundons. Items concerning particular Dundons, that appears in the collection, are presented together as snapshots. So there might be references to a Dundon in newspapers, in the Tithe Applotment Books, in a Provincial Directory etc. These "Snapshots" will not be on the site, but references to them will be given. Particular ones can be got on request.
The account of Ellen Dundon's, "Breach of promise of marriage, Charleville, 1872" was given coverage in the Irish Times and the Limerick Reporter and Tipperary Vindicator; it makes for interesting reading. "John Dundon, Tralee, An amusing case, 1874", is another good read.
Here is a sample. It is of Catherine Dundon, a widow and farmer of Carrig, a few kilometres outside of Limerick city.
